Julian Ciderworks

Julian CiderWorks is a startup cidery in the mountains east of San Diego, CA. Using exclusively local fruit, sourced from various orchards in the Julian area, Julian Ciderworks produce interesting craft ciders that you won’t find at other cideries. Julian Ciderworks will open their tasting room early for our group, where we can socialize, try their cider and enjoy a potluck brunch. They were featured on KPBS Savor San Diego (starts at 8:15 on video).

Envision Solar

Envision Solar International, Inc. is a San Diego based sustainable technology innovation company. They will be demonstrating their EV ARC portable solar charging station.

Range miles and charging

It is 86 miles round trip from the meetup point to the ciderworks. A test run in an S85 used 66 range miles (ate range going up, got most back coming down). We suggest that you utilize EvTripPlanner to calculate your personal charging needs starting with the following entries:

Brunch logistics

Some tables are available but we should plan on bringing our own chairs. Note that the tasting room will be open to the general public starting at 12 noon.

Members should bring a dish (with serving utensil) to share, and a beverage of their choice (if you want something other than cider).
