Some of our member weren’t able to attend today’s meeting comparing the 2 different shades of tint and requested pictures of the event.
We had over 20 members attend and, of course, it’s much easier to judge the differences in person.
Check out this
Picasa Album to see pictures of the different tints,
The differences were slight but noticeable if you knew what to look for.
The lighter shade (50) is more “cop friendly” but doesn’t cut out quite as much heat (49% vs 54%) or glare (40% vs 57%) as the 35.
Both cut out 99.5% of UV rays.
The Air Blue 80 on both front windshields cuts out 43% of the heat, 13% of the glare and 99% of UV rays.
This is the first car I’ve ever tinted and I don’t think there was anyone who attended who didn’t like the tint jobs.
Did I mention before that it took about 3 1/2 – 4 hours to tint the car?

P.S. If you decide to tint your windows, be aware of the tint laws. I am not responsible!
But also be aware of the speed limit laws and the front license plate laws.
